About Council Watch
Strathroy-Caradoc Council Watch is independent research into the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc by a resident, John Farrugia.
What it is, and what it is not
- It is a resident's review of public records: council agendas and minutes, meeting videos, budgets, court files and news reports.
- It is not run, paid for or endorsed by the Municipality. It is not an official audit, and it does not have access to the town's internal files.
- Candidate guides do not endorse anyone.
How reports are made
- Every fact in a full report has a numbered source you can click.
- Meeting videos are cited with the exact time in the video.
- Votes are only called votes when the vote is recorded. Moving or seconding a motion is not a vote.
- Every report shows three dates: when it was first published, when it was last changed, and how recent the records it checked are.
- People named in a report are invited to reply. Replies are published.

The author uses AI tools to help find and organize records, transcribe meeting video and draft the summaries. The author checks the work and is responsible for everything published here.
Mistakes and corrections
If something is wrong, email john.v.farrugia@gmail.com. Every fix is listed on What's new and in the report itself. Old versions are never quietly changed.
